The situation of an utterly oppressed country.

What is the significance of the word escape to you ? what does it mean to escape ? More than that, what would you do if you never understood you were being oppressed in the first place?

A very good day to my beautiful reader.

Today, as the routine follows , I've tried to come up with another blog. This one will always be very close to my heart and my intellect. I've tried with the best of my abilities to pour out my thoughts exactly how I wish to and also put forward all the messages and affirmations by different inspiring people that I came across in the journey of writing this blog. I hope you'll like it . So, here it goes.

Let us first understand , what the word 'ESCAPE' means in the context of North korea . People are all starving and HUNGER means DEATH in North Korea. So escape is the only option for the people there.

But, sadly enough, the people know absolutely nothing about the outside world and what happens if they do manage to escape . They do not even know they can escape .

For instance, imagine your building has caught fire and the only option for you to save yourself is to jump off the window . what would you do?

Let's look at the situation of the country first.

It is a shame for me to call this a country. North Korea is a gulag posing as a nation .

It is purely unimaginable.

To be honest , to write about that place with the proper and the best meaning and to understand that place beyond the regime's propaganda is only possible by total immersion.

From what information, facts and interviews I've gathered , the words in any language can't describe what it feels to live in that country as it is a totally different planet . Just as you cannot imagine your life on Mars right now, you can't imagine it there too.

Everything there is about the great leader , kim Jong -ll . Every book, newspaper, songs and TV programs ----there is just 1 subject. The flowers are named after him, In fact , the mountains are carved with his slogans . Every citizen wears the badge of their great leader at all times . Even their calendar system commences with the birth of kim -ll Sung . Every blank space is filled with the portraits of kim -ll Sung and kim Jong -ll.

Can you imagine your life without the internet today? The citizens of that country would've never heard of Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Jobs.

Twitter, Facebook etc. would've never meant a thing. As students of science and technology the students are familiar with computer majors but they don't know what internet means.

There is no concept of romantic love in North Korea . Love has only 1 meaning- love for the great leader.

And , if you don't know the words at all, that means you don't understand the concept . And , therefore , you don't even understand that the concept is even a possibility. For example- The people growing up in North Korea are built to believe that their dear leader is an almighty God who can even read their thoughts. A country where people are afraid to think. They are told that their leader is starving for them and that he's working tirelessly for them day and night.

And , just like that, they never come across the actual reality that he is a merciless dictator who has cars , multiple resorts and an ultra-luxurious and extravagant life.

If you have never practiced critical thinking , then you simply see what you're told to see. This is exactly what is happening in North Korea.

The question arises - "Why is there no revolution in North Korea? Are they dumb? Why and how is there no revolution for 70 years of this evil oppression?

The answer that I could make out is - "If someone doesn't know they're a slave; if they don't know they're isolated or oppressed . HOW DO THEY FIGHT TO BE FREE?"

I mean , if one knows they're isolated then they actually aren't . NOT KNOWING IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF ISOLATION. Similarly, the people of North Korea will go on thinking as if they're in the centre of the universe or something. And Because they'll never know there's something better out there , they'll never know they are in a very wrong place and hence won't feel the urge to fight. Fight for what?

So, I saw an interview by a North Korean girl who escaped the place as a teenager . She was absolutely mesmerizing and inspiring just as her ideas.

I would like to conclude this blog with her idea and also mine , now.

A lot of people think - humans inherently know what is right and wrong, the difference between justice and injustice, what we deserve and what we don't deserve. But that ain't true .

EVERYTHING MUST BE TAUGHT , including compassion.

People die on the streets everyday in North Korea and others don't even bother to look at them. But don't you think , somehow , hypothetically, that if those same people are literally rescued and brought to places like our's wouldn't they be kind and generous if they are taught to be so or even freed to think so?

Can you fathom that we live in a world right now, where a dictator can be praised for executing his uncle and Killing his half-brother?

And ,yes, not to forget, killing thousands of NorthKoreans.

I feel, perhaps , we all need to be taught something new about freedom now. Something real . period.

Freedom is ...ummm...FRAGILE .

I don't want to alarm you , but it really is.

If you go through the history of North Korea , you'll know that it took only 3 generations to make North Korea into what it is today.

If we don't fight for human rights , for people who are opressed as free people here , then who will fight for us when /if we are bound in any way someday ? Machines? Animals? I don't even know.

I mean, it's wonderful that we care about climate change, animal rights, gender equality and many more...

Fighting for animals shows how big our heart is that we are ready to willfully fight for someone who cannot speak for themselves. And there will be no wrong in saying that the North koreans too cannot speak for themselves right now.

And as I always say,

Thankyou so much for reading me out patiently .

I hope you have a great day ahead .

see you with ny next blog:)
